Wind in the Wire

Wind in the Wire by Randy Travis

This is my first attempt at tabbing a song, so any corrections would be
great.
I’m pretty sure this is incorrect but I finger pick the chords on the D, G
and B Strings, strumming also sounds good.
If anyone corrects this tab, please send it to me,

Thanks,

[Em]

[Em]I’d been ridin’ [D]fence all day
[Bm]Way up on the [Em]summer range
[Em]Found a place to [D]make my bed
[Bm]As the evening [Em]shadow spread

[C]Beyond the campfire [Em]light
[C]Through the stillness of the [Em]night
[C]Came the call of the coyote’s [Em]cho-[D]ir
[C]And a song of the [D]wind in the [Em]wire

(Repeat Intro Riff)

[Em]As it strummed the [D]rusted strings
[Bm]It sang a long [Em]forgotten theme
[Em]Many moons and [D]many suns
[Bm]Of the real [Em]Americans

[C]When the arrow and the [Em]bow
[C]Stalked the range of [Em]bufallo
[C]And the call of the coyote’s [Em]cho-[D]ir
[C]And you know songs of the [D]wind in the [Em]wire

(Fancy Riff, If someone figures it out please post it.)

[Em]As the ghostly [D]baladeer

[C]The spirits of the [Em]plains
[C]Still sing their sad [Em]refrain
[C]And the call of the coyote’s [Em]cho-[D]ir
[C]And a song of the [D]wind in the [Em]wire

[C]The spirits of the [Em]plains
[C]Still sing their sad [Em]refrain
[C]And the call of the coyote’s [Em]cho-[D]ir
[C]And a song of the [D]wind in the [Em]wire

(Repeat Intro Riff)
